I've got a 2016 Lexus RX450h hybrid and yesterday I went to start it and nothing. No lights on the dash, no click, completely dead. I know hybrids have two batteries, the big hybrid one and a regular 12V battery. Which one usually causes a complete no power situation? I'm hoping it's just the small 12V because I've heard hybrid batteries are crazy expensive to replace. The car has about 160,000km on it and I've never changed the 12V in the four years I've owned it, so it's probably due. I found a place that does the Rapid Lexus Battery Installation Service at Battery Zone UAE and they said they can test both batteries and tell me which one is the problem. But I'm nervous about driving the car to a shop if it won't start. Do they come to you? Also has anyone here had a Lexus hybrid 12V battery fail? How long did it last? And is it true that you can't just jump start a hybrid like a normal car? I've heard conflicting things. I really don't want to damage the electronics. Would love to hear from other Lexus hybrid owners about your experience with battery replacements. Also any tips on maintaining the 12V battery in a hybrid since the engine doesn't run all the time? Thanks in advance. Stressed about this because it's my only car.
